Current mechanism describes the clock, commitments, pressure, causal
boundaries, scale deficit, and the structural answer rule; the Commitment
and Pressure rows and the twenty-seven operation count follow the cut;
the mvp doc no longer names a readiness partition. Steward folded passes
1 through 7 and the in-flight pass 8.
