The engine crate carries the spec's nouns as typed state (dimensions, materials, sources, lots, recipes, facilities, discovery, knowledge, shipments, markets, carrier and producer policies), validate_catalog as the generation plan's first gate, and the pipeline fixture as a test-only constructor proven to be a well-formed state document.
