Describe Epiphany as backend-agnostic
Codex, Claude and OpenAI-compatible APIs reach Epiphany through connectors that share one standardized Epiphany-facing CultNet API, also used by Ghostlight. Codex is one connector backend, not Epiphany's body. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

model_provider: Owns explicit provider selection and exact provider lowering. Epiphany is backend-agnostic. Codex, Claude, and OpenAI-compatible APIs are reached through separate connectors, which share one standardized Epiphany-facing CultNet API that Ghostlight also consumes. Today the independent CodexConnector is the admitted non-production capstone credential and transport boundary, with a distinct caller identity. Production Epiphany remains inactive on its historical OpenRouter configuration.

codex: One connector backend among several. Epiphany's compiled body holds no Codex implementation or transport (evicted in 7a125d78 and ed7357a2); Codex auth and transport belong to CodexConnector.
