Meta Vens 5fd20a0582 CultMath interval specs: interval-ops r4 and glsl-lowering r2 as admitted
interval-ops r4 fixes verdict s2's four findings (LOD agreement against a
converged march, body depth in optical depth, the wells oracle measurement,
the WeightBound pin); its wells assertion waits on question wells-ceiling-oracle.
glsl-lowering r2 merges onto 3ac7250a.

"Follow-up on verdict cultmath-tapes:verdict:cut-interval-ops.s2 (range 43183276..3ac7250a, worktree F:\\Projects\\CultLib-iv), four findings, one item each below. Touches packages/cultmath/tests/CultMath.Tests/NoiseBoundTests.cs and packages/cultmath/docs/design.md only: no src, no HLSL, no README. Question cultmath-tapes:question:wells-ceiling-oracle decides only (c)'s assertion lines (item 9). Self dispatches with its ruling in the brief. Line numbers are at 3ac7250a. Every probe number quoted here is from Imagination's scratch probe at 3ac7250a, with the test's own seeds, tiles and N = 8. It is never committed; r4's run reprints its own numbers.",
"Finding lod-agreement-blind-past-body (High), measured. Comparing with the 10-unit fixed-step march cannot pin LodStep. At the shipped void, the LOD march's T at the body start differs from it by up to 0.300 of max(T, 0.02). LodStep doubled differs by 0.309. Both are unconverged midpoint quadratures of a ramp with 25-unit detail. A converged march separates them: h = 0.5, which agrees with h = 1 to 0.0065. Relative optical-depth error per ray, max at the headline: fixed-step 0.061, LOD 0.086, LodStep x2 0.177, LodStep x0.5 0.036. With the pre-body integration dropped, T is wrong by 26.5x max(T, 0.02). So the LOD march is 1.4x less accurate than the dense march before the body. Report it; it is not tuned.",
"The agreement rule. MarchLod gains `float cutoff`; Run's costed march passes 0.02, as now. It returns (Transmittance, AtBody). AtBody is T when z first reaches the body start, before the body step, or the final T when there is no body. New helper ConvergedDepth(field, tile, slope, stop, h, lod) returns the optical depth in double, by midpoint quadrature at step h. It runs over EVERY grid cell before `stop`, never the mask's, so it trusts no pre-pass, using the field's Density.",
"(Agreement, continued.) In Run with lod, per ray, with stop = bodyStart, or the cell count (grid.Length - 1) when there is none:\n- tauConv = ConvergedDepth(..., stop, 0.5, lod: true).\n- tauLod = -ln(max(AtBody, 1e-30)) from a second MarchLod at cutoff 0.\n- tauRef = -ln of the product of Integrate over cells < stop, lod: false, with no early-out.\nRunStats keeps MaxLodDepthError and MaxRefDepthError, each max |tau - tauConv| / max(tauConv, 1e-3). The converged march and the cutoff-0 march count into a throwaway Counts and no steps, so cost rows do not move.",
"The (e) agreement contract replaces 'LOD within 0.02 at the end': at the shipped headline, MaxLodDepthError <= 2 x MaxRefDepthError. The footprint march may be at most twice as wrong as the dense march it is measured against. This mirrors the 2x step contract and is Imagination's default; Self may put it to the operator. Measured 0.086 <= 0.122. LodStep x2 and the dropped pre-body integration fail it. The end-of-ray assertion :1455 is deleted. End-of-ray |dT| stays printed. Every (e) row and LOD-far prints both errors and their ratio, which is printed and not asserted. LOD-far's tauRef carries the deliberate octave truncation, so its ratio is not comparable.",
"BodyFactor becomes BodyDepth (:1198-1201). It returns the optical depth Density x ext x (grid end - z) x |dir| as a float. MarchLod multiplies by exp(-BodyDepth(...)). AnalyticBodyMatchesFineMarch part (2) deletes its own tau and analytic (:1375-1377). It compares BodyDepth(field, tile, ray, grid[b], lod: true, counts) with the double sum over body cells of -ln(Integrate(cell, lod: true)), within 1e-4 relative. Probe: in the T domain the comparison underflows at LOD-far (float exp of about -256 is 0, relative error 1); in the depth domain it does not. With |dir| dropped, the depth error is |dir| - 1, at least 0.00145 at the shipped camera, so the mutant dies on every tile.",
"Finding wells-ceiling-contract-vacuous (Medium), measured at N = 8. Warp 0: ratio 2.744x, mask ceiling 2.855x (0.961), oracle ceiling 7.263x (0.378), oracle-empty cells skipped 0.952, skip-nothing pre-pass 0.136. Warp D: 1.391x, 1.401x (0.993), 7.165x (0.194), 0.842, 0.139. At warp D about 80% of the masked cost lies in cells where every ray's sample is 0, so design.md's 'where the rays need them' is false. The ruling's reason needs a ceiling the pre-pass cannot move. Hence the question.",
"Measurement, whatever the ruling. Run draws a tile's N^2 slopes first, then marches. The random stream reorders, so every IV-REPORT row reprints. The oracle mask is the cells whose Density at mid-depth is > 0 for at least one of those slopes, evaluated into a throwaway Counts. The oracle march runs each ray over the oracle cells only, with the same Integrate and early-out, costed into a new RunStats.Oracle. Assert its T equals the dense march's exactly (probe max |dT| 0). RunStats.Ceiling (:1259-1260) goes. In its place: OracleCeiling = Dense.Cost / Oracle.Cost; Efficiency = Oracle.Cost / (Masked.Cost + Probes.Cost); ProbeOverhead = Masked.Cost / (Masked.Cost + Probes.Cost); CullFraction = oracle-empty cells the mask skips / oracle-empty cells. Report prints all four.",
"(c)'s assertion, at N = 8, the lower of warp 0 and D, per the ruling on wells-ceiling-oracle. :1437 records the chosen value. For the cull floor, Assert.True fails rather than skips.\n- oracle-target-cull-floor (recommended): hard CullFraction >= 0.5, plus Efficiency >= 0.90 in the shortfall list.\n- oracle-target-only: the shortfall alone.\n- cull-fraction: CullFraction >= 0.90 in the shortfall list.\n- overhead-plus-floor: ProbeOverhead >= 0.90 in the shortfall list, plus the hard floor.\nThe contracts line names the measured quantity. Note: under options 1 and 2 the test skips today, naming saving-2x-scenarios with (c)'s shortfall; (a) and (e) are still evaluated and listed.",
"Finding weightbound-mutation-survives (Low). VoidField gains public (float2 Coarse, float2 Fine) WeightBounds(float z0, float z1) beside Weights(z) (:992). WeightBound (:1035) stays private and is what WeightBounds calls. New Fact WeightBoundEnclosesOneSignedNoise on LodFar, 2,000 cases: z0 ~ U(1460, 0.95 x grid end), z1 ~ U(z0, grid end), 16 depths in [z0, z1] including both ends. Each octave weight lies in its bound. For the one-signed noise interval n = [0.25, 1] and n_s in {0.25, U(0.25, 1), 1}, w(z) n_s lies in iv_mul(bound, n). Probe: the spec's mutant [w(z0), 1] misses w(z1) x 0.25 in 2000 of 2000 fine-octave cases on (1460, 2920). The header (:14-20) moves that mutant to this test.",
"Finding design-saving-section-stale (Medium). Rewrite design.md :475-512 from r4's final run, where every figure appears in an IV-REPORT line the report pastes. Delete :422-423's '6e-4 at the shipped scales' sentence, which no test prints. No r2 or r3 number survives.",
"Site-ground's dense-reference browser check has the same blind spot (its converged mean luminance is compared after the walls' bodies). It is follow-up cultmath-tapes:follow_up:site-ground-dense-check-blind-past-body, owned by the next site-ground spec. Not this cut.",
"Mutation evidence, cheap by design. src is untouched, so Stryker has nothing in scope and is not run; the negative check proves the premise. Run ONE tools/mutation-table.sh job on Yggdrasil against the final head, test filter FullyQualifiedName~NoiseBoundTests, with these rows:\n- MarchLod `transmittance *= Integrate(field, tile, slope, z, next, lod: true, counts);` -> `transmittance *= 1.0f;` must fail IntervalSkipHalvesEvaluations;\n- LodStep's return wrapped in `2.0f * (...)`: same test;\n- BodyDepth without its sqrt factor: AnalyticBodyMatchesFineMarch;\n- WeightBound `).x, 1.0f)` -> `).y, 1.0f)`: WeightBoundEnclosesOneSignedNoise;\n- MarchTile `if (bound.y <= 0.0f)` -> `if (bound.y <= 0.0f && !field.Name.Contains(\"wells\"))`: IntervalSkipHalvesEvaluations, under the floor options; a survivor under oracle-target-only, by that option's design;\n- Compose `CarveRadius` -> `HollowRadius` in the lo test: AnalyticBodyMatchesFineMarch (carried).\nNo per-mutant hand loops, no Starfire jobs.",
"Budget: under 200k Hands tokens. Read NoiseBoundTests.cs :480-1469 and design.md :344-515 once; no other file. Verification is one full CultMath.Tests run on Yggdrasil after the code commits (paste counts and every IV-REPORT line), the mutation-table job, and one fix round. If the headline agreement fails at r4's own numbers, do not move the factor or the step: report the measured errors as a fork."
