Operator ruling, 2026-09-30, on the Autocannon: "Leave the autocannon unsold, we'll need to author a bunch more hulls before all the gear variety in the game has a home." The fit rule gets one owner, HardpointData.Takes (the gear's type, laid in at the hardpoint's rotation, filling every cell); LoadoutGenerator's hardpoint picks, its reuse of a previous product and `AetherDb hardpoint-fit` all read it. RandomProducts, which both station stock and NPC loadouts draw through, offers only gear with a home: Tool gear, hulls, or hardpoint gear some hull in the catalog takes. The Autocannon keeps its product and price. Test: the Autocannon is never drawn in 2000 draws of its hardpoint type; after a scratch hull whose hardpoint takes it is authored, it is. // TargetGearInfoThreshold .8. FireControl.HitProbability reads

// pSensor = saturate(unlerp(TargetDetectionInfoThreshold, Resolution, info)), so a HIGHER Resolution
// needs MORE gathered info before sensor state stops limiting hits -- it is a cost, not a bonus. The

// 1-cell system is placed low (.3, just above the detection floor) so it reaches its own modest ceiling
// off a cheap scan; the 2-cell system is placed high (.75, near the gear-info tier) so its much higher
// ceiling is only fully reachable after sustained scanning. That is an authored reading of "the 1-cell
// design lower than the 2-cell", not a re-derivation of the spec, and the report flags it for review.

//

// 6c.1 (operator ruling 2026-09-19): FireControl.HitProbability now takes Resolution's reciprocal to
// derive the sensor-limiting info ceiling, so a bigger authored number is a bigger benefit, matching
// every other stat on this behaviour. Cut 6a's two designs were authored against the old (ceiling-read-

// directly) reading -- Targeting Computer at .3, Fire Control Array at .75 -- which is why the premium
// design scored strictly worse at low info. Re-authored on the new scale: 1-cell 2 (ceiling
// .1 + .9/2 = .55), 2-cell 4 (ceiling .1 + .9/4 = .325). Both clear the unaided ceiling of 1 by a wide

// margin (lower is better under the new reading), and the 2-cell design is unambiguously ahead of the

// 1-cell one at every info level, which was the whole point of the fix.
