Cut 8b. The Unity project compiles with 0 errors in 6000.3.24f1 batchmode.
Packages: manifest.json pins org.gamecult.cultlib at cultlib-unity-v1.0.57
and org.gamecult.caching.unity at caching-unity-v1.2.0, next to the 8a
CultMath tag. Aetheria.Shared.Unity references GameCult.CultLib and keeps
noEngineReferences.
The Database Tools (Assets/Scripts/CultCache/Editor) are deleted in this
commit, alongside their five ported drawers in
Assets/Scripts/Editor/CultCacheDrawers.cs, each an
[CultInspectorDrawer] ICultInspectorDrawer:
- InspectableType: popup of the attribute type's [Union] member names,
writing the string.
- InspectableColor: float3 and float4 through ColorField.
- InspectableAnimationCurve: float4[] and BezierCurve through CurveField.
- InspectableTemperature: Kelvin, Celsius and Fahrenheit fields over one
value.
- InspectableSchematicShape: size and cell toggles. The old drawer also
drew the item's schematic texture and tinted hull hardpoints, which need
the parent document. The tagged Studio hands a drawer only the value, so
those wait on the Studio exposing the open record.
Unity call sites:
- ActionGameManager opens the catalog through AetheriaStores; Cut 10 adds
the run and player stores.
- Refs resolve through ItemManager.GetData or Get(ref); orbit, planet and
belt maps key by CultRecordKey; identity is compared by reference or key.
- The PlayerSettings.msgpack reader and writer, which Cut 10 deletes, pass
CultDocumentMessagePackSerialization.OptionsFor, since the embedded run
reaches CultMath values and refs. Keyboard layouts need no resolver and
keep MessagePack's defaults until Cut 10.
- The input map uses the nested action to binding shape.
- PropertiesPanel reads CultInspectorRangeAttribute.
- NameTools loses its legacy name-file writer.
- Slime compares serialized settings instead of the deleted SHA1 helper.
- FieldDriver drops InspectorHeader.
- .gitignore covers the test project's build output.
Builds: Aetheria.Shared, AetherDb, Aetheria.Shared.Tests (6/6), Unity
batchmode (0 errors).

Fluid, Slime, SlimeTestSpawner, LightningCompute and MouseRotate still
imported Unity.Mathematics and compiled only because Burst and Collections
pull the package in. Fluid, Slime and LightningCompute now use CultMath
(LightningCompute's snoise included, which CultMath carries as the same
Ashima simplex noise); SlimeTestSpawner and MouseRotate imported it without
using it, so the usings are gone. LightningCompute converts its float3
offsets with ToUnity() instead of the Unity.Mathematics implicit cast.
None of these are Burst-compiled or jobs. Their ComputeBuffer structs are
built from UnityEngine Vector2/Vector3 and floats, not math types, so no
buffer layout changes.

Removed hard zone boundaries
Fixed stuff that broke because of hard zone boundary assumption (stardust placement, vertical fog)
Added a skybox!
Removed density-based albedo boost (_TintExponent) to improve perceptual uniformity at different step sizes, reconfigured shader to achieve / surpass previous looks and performance
Cell Brush has a material editor now to enable variant selection
Enabled Caching Shader Preprocessor
Moved raymarching loop into CloudShader
Get environment settings from game manager to enable configuration / variation
Introduced slope-based nebulae damping and volumetric flow
Hid optional volumetric features behind preprocessor branches
Created shader variants selected by global keywords for all shaders depending on volumetrics
Environment settings used to configure shader variant selection
Moved dynamic lighting settings to own subclass
Dynamically adjust gravity map isoline contour depth range according to zone contents
Added new clouds shader with improved raymarching loop
Currently only being used in main menu (rest is coming right up!)
Removed WWise (it's nice, but all it's doing is throwing exceptions rn since we ain't about to get a license)
Fixed towing system
Tweaked Nebula Flow (a lot)
Extracted environment appearance settings into ZoneEnvironment data structure
Stardust particles now follow global flow field
Tweaked the density function for the clouds - fill density now fades smoothly to zero over safety radius
Changed the way density is mapped to luminosity in volume color sampling
Added directional lighting to clouds
Changed raymarching accumulation logic
Fixed step artifacts (reverted to simple blue noise sampling)
Added more aesthetic trails to "slime" effect
Created prefabs for planet and asteroid stations
Added model for adrasteia ship
Integrated audio changes from Defirm
Replaced Unity TAA with PlayDead TAA
Custom keyboard layout test scene
Adjusted Aetheric Drive VFX to be more subtle
Reworked stardust VFX to reduce flickering artifacts
Added Action Bar & weapon groups saving/loading

Added trailer-specific camera transitions
Added key to hide UI
Fixed input listening while console is open
Added animated zone reveal effect in galaxy map
Added Ping action for sensors

Temporarily disabled wwise
Fixed infinite loop in weapon penetration code
Guided missiles now predict target position
Fixed hitscan weapons
Fixed invisible enemies bug
Fixed various loadout generator issues (can now generate turrets!)
Fixed wormhole crash when enemy is targeted
Saving/loading current zone time when exiting game (planets keep their positions)
Created slime simulation in test scene - WIP
Converted entity materials to new fade shader
Implemented visibility system
Refactored per-instance entity code to run inside monobehavior on entity instances
Created state machine AI for enemy ships with basic patrol and combat routines
Removed legacy AI code (controller item behaviors)
Added automatic trigger group assignment for matched weapons
Created ship collision system
Created shield VFX and colliders
Minimap works again
Stardust density is now proportional to gravity depth
Generated zones are double the size and better distributed
Orbital hierarchy actually working now (!)
Station start position actually orbits something now
Max gravity strength remapped to infinity (zone boundary is properly impassable now)
